China denied claims that it has been hiding bird flu cases. The Chinese healthcare ministry officially announced that it did not hide a single case of disease, Trend reports.
Statements earlier appeared in American mass media citing unidentified sources, that local governments in China are covering the possible cases of bird flu
The Chinese healthcare ministry confirmed information that an 8-year old girl earlier hospitalized in Sichuan province is infected with H5N1 bird flu virus. There are 18 persons infected with the bird flu virus in the country, 12 of them passed away. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) data there were 204 persons infected by bird flu virus since 2003; 113 of them passed away.
