During a visit to Georgia, OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Knut Vollebaek is holding meetings with members of the new government.
Along with representatives of the executive power, he will meet with those from the parliamentary majority and minority.
"Our goal is to introduce the new government with our activity and receive a sort of promise about the continuation of the activities that we have conducted up to now. I have already held meetings with ministers and can assume that the cooperation will continue," the OSCE Commissioner said.
Vollebaek stressed that the aim of the visit is to convince the government to continue to work actively for the protection of minority rights. "Special attention will be paid to the level of minorities' participation in the political and social life of Georgia, "he said.
