A Syrian shell landed in the city of Al-Qasr in northern Lebanon, the Lebanese national news agency NNA said on Monday.
According to the agency, the fall of the projectile caused no fatalities.
This is not the first case of a Syrian shell landing on the territory of the country, the agency said.
President Michel Suleiman has repeatedly said firing by Syria at the neighboring country is unacceptable and violates the sovereignty of Lebanon.
Anti-government protests have continued in Syria for about two years. According to the UN, the total number of victims of the conflict in Syria exceeds 70,000 with around three million in need of humanitarian assistance. Syrian authorities say they oppose the well-armed militants.
