TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 3. Uzbekistan and Chinese Holley Group reached an agreement on building a technopark in the Tashkent region and attracting large Chinese companies to it, Trend reports.

The agreement was reached at a meeting within the program of the III Tashkent Investment Forum between President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Chinese companies.

The sides also plan to attract large Chinese companies to the implementation of the project.

During the meeting, both parties noted the successful activity of the Holley Group company in the production of electric meters in Uzbekistan.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan is establishing Eltech Industrial Technopark. The country aims to organize high-tech electrical equipment of a new type and its components.

The technopark is being formed on the basis of the Ohangaron Tech Industrial Technopark in Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region. It represented a scientific and technological cluster for the production of copper products and finished goods with high added value in related industries.

The territory of the technopark is being expanded by an additional 214 hectares on the basis of the right of permanent use - up to 352 hectares.
