Georgian President Hopes US to Allocate $1bln

Georgia, Tbilisi, 20 August / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / Georgian President met with the US Senator Josef Biden. The United States is to allocate %1bln to Georgia. Mikhail Saakashvili thanked the United States for such aid.

"I hope that this will become the 'first plan' and US will take active role to restore and reconstruct in Georgia, which was damaged as a result of Russian aggression," Saakashvili said.

Biden's initiative has already been supported by the presidential contender Barak Obama.
