Afghanistan, Kabul, 22 September / Trend corr. A.Hakimi/ Pakistani Ambassador to Afghanistan was called to Foreign Ministry due to kidnapping of Afghan consul to Pakistan, Afghan Foreign Ministry official said.
їPakistani Ambassador said that the case was being investigated, but still fruitlessly,ї Afghan Foreign Ministry representative Sultan Ahmad Behin said to Trend on 23 September.
Afghan consul Abdul Khaliq Farahi was kidnapped on 23 September and his driver killed after diplomatїs car was attacked, Afghan consulate said.
Armed men fired at the car when the consul was on his way home.
In February 2008, representatives of the Taliban movement kidnapped Pakistani Ambassador Tariq Azizuddin and released three months afterwards.
