The Azerbaijani opposition MP group is designing a new bill on mothers and children's protection.
"The draft will comprise an article envisaging allocation of benefits from public budget to all children up to 18-year regardless their financial state," Member of MP Group and Chairman of the opposition Nation Party Panah Huseyn told Trend on Jan. 6.
The Azerbaijani opposition MP Group was established after the parliamentary elections in Nov. 2005. The Group comprises four members of Musavat Party, including Nasib Nasibli, Arzu Samadbayli, Ikram Israfil, Iltizam Akbarli and Chairman of the Nation Party Panah Huseyn.
So far, the opposition MP Group has submitted nine bills to the Azerbaijani Parliament. Moreover, relevant commissions of the parliament have discussed bills on Oil and Gas, as well as on Amendments and additions to the Election Code. The submitted bills to the parliament includes on Recognition of Khojali Genocide, Recognition of KLP and other terrorism organizations, Amendments and additions to the Criminal Code, as well as on Opposition Activity.
Huseyn said that the bill envisaging mothers and children's protection will be submitted in spring session of the parliament.
The spring session of the Azerbaijani parliament begins early Feb. every year.
