The Chinese side attaches great importance to develop the relations with Uzbekistan. It is ready to be a true friend and partner of Uzbekistan, Special Envoy of the Chinese President Chen Zhili said at a reception organized by the Chinese Embassy, a source in the Uzbek government told Trend today.
Special Envoy Chen Zhili arrived in Tashkent on Thursday to participate in the events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and China.
Chen Zhili said at present, the Chinese-Uzbek relations are at a new way that opens the unique opportunities and broad prospects.
"We are ready to implement the agreements reached by our leaders together with the Uzbek side, to strengthen mutual political trust and to intensify the mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields," Zhili said.
She recalled that President Hu Jintao and President Islam Karimov announced the course of creating partnership relations, friendship and cooperation between the two countries in 2004.
The agreement on partnership relations, friendship and cooperation between the two countries, signed by the leaders of both countries in May 2005, became the solid legal basis to further intensify the bilateral relations.
