Georgia will not extradite the MP from the National Movement, Targamadze to Russia, as this is prohibited by the Constitution, the head of the Department of International Relations of the Prosecutor of Georgia, Chilingarishvili told reporters on Thursday.
According to him, the Russian side has not yet contacted the prosecutor's office of Georgia with the request of extradition of Georgian deputy.
"But even if that happens, we will not consider the extradition," he said.
On Thursday, Russian media reported of putting Targamadze who is charged with preparation of military actions in Russia to overthrow the government, on the wanted list.
According to the National Movement, Targamadze is not in Georgia. According to unofficial sources, the Georgian deputy has business interests in Ukraine.
