BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 13. Phone conversation took place between Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov and Minister of National Defense of Türkiye Hulusi Akar, Trend reports via Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
Hasanov informed the Turkish minister about the military confrontation that occurred as a result of provocations committed by Armenian troops in the directions of Azerbaijan’s Dashkasan, Kalbajar and Lachin districts during the night of September 12, and noted that Azerbaijan decisively suppressed these provocations.
Akar, in turn, expressed his condolences over the death of Azerbaijani servicemen, and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded. He emphasized that Türkiye is close to Azerbaijan today as it has always been.
During the phone conversation both ministers held a broad exchange of views on the current situation.
