ANTALYA, Türkiye, April 12. The 12th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) will be held in Azerbaijan in October 2025, said Elchin Amirbayov, Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Special Assignments, during his speech at the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Trend reports.
Amirbayov emphasized Azerbaijan’s commitment to the OTS, referring to the organization as a "natural family". He noted that strengthening the organization’s influence on broader Eurasian geopolitics remains one of Azerbaijan’s key foreign policy priorities.
"Since its inception in 2009 in Nakhchivan, the OTS has come a long way. I think that all the issues will be dealt with in great detail in the forthcoming 12th Summit of Heads of State and Government of OTS, which Azerbaijan will proudly host in October this year," said Amirbayov. "We need to be more consolidated, goal-oriented, and visible in our actions to truly elevate the organization from a cultural and linguistic group into a prominent geopolitical player".
Amirbayov further explained that the upcoming summit would focus on advancing these goals, offering a platform to address critical issues and ensure the OTS continues to grow as an influential regional actor.
