Members of the “Young Azerbaijan-new names” election block held a meeting with the higher schools students and the youth on 7 July. The students came out with the initiative to meet with the block members after holding the action ”No bribes in education”, the organization told Trend.
The meeting’s topics were dedicated to discussions of the country’s higher schools state of affairs, problems of students, their relations with teachers, shortcomings in examination procedures and other.
The students noted the fact of a wide spreading of bribery in high schools. According to them, the students who complained about the drawbacks and problems in educational system while visiting the Pedagogical Univeristy by the Education Minister, Misir Mardanov, the students in this educational institution are put pressure on.
The block’s members, having noted the students’ problems promised to apply to the relevant instances and hold specific actions. They assured the students, that they would defend the rights of the youth in the future by staging mass actions.
