Kyrgyzstan’s crude oil production grows

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, May 8. Kyrgyzstan’s crude oil production reached 76,200 tons from January through March 2024, which is a 4.7 percent increase compared to the same months in 2023 (72,800 tons), Trend reports.

In March this year, the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan reported a crude oil production of 26,100 tons, which is the same amount as in March 2023.

Meanwhile, the value of production in the extraction sector of Kyrgyzstan amounted to 13.860 billion soms ($156.288 million) from January through March 2024, which is a 23.9 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023. However, the volume of production dropped by 5.2 percent.

Industrial production in Kyrgyzstan reached 114.5 billion soms ($1.284 billion) from January through March 2024, which is a 4.5 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.

To note, Kyrgyzstan’s crude oil production amounted to 303,200 tons in 2023, which is a 2.8 percent increase compared to 2022 (294,900 tons).
