Today at 14.00 p.m. the local residents of the Nardaran settlement near Baku held an unauthorised action. The actions participants numbering 200 people demanded to free some settlement residents, arrested in regard to the skirmish in the settlement on 25 January 2006, Trend reports.
The settlements residents involved in the action reported, the wounded and hospitalized Nardaran residents Hasan Azimov and Ilham Guliyev are innocent. These persons passed by occasionally during the incident and got injuries at the result of the firings by the police officers.
The actions participants demanded also to lift the decision to search and arrest Ganifa Guliyev, who is wanted by the police. The protesters took a decision, in case their demands are not met, they will hold another action on the following Friday next week at 14.00 p.m.
The action lasted about 40 minutes.
