BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 9. Binance's mission is considering the possibility of visiting Kyrgyzstan again, Binance's head for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Central Asia, Kyrylo Khomiakov told Trend.
"We regularly organize various kinds of activities, trading contests, and marketing campaigns for the Binance community. We are also considering returning to Kyrgyzstan to hold a new meeting with our local community. The first meeting that took place in 2022 created a real sensation - more than 600 people attended our first Binance Community Meetup," he noted.
According to him, Kyrgyzstan is at a positive stage of development. It is important to have a dialog between the authorities and the crypto industry to finalize the existing legislation and ensure the inflow of investment into the country.
"Any entry of a technologically advanced player, especially like Binance, is, first of all, the development of technology and job creation. We are always open to dialog with both regulators and representatives of financial institutions," Khomiakov emphasized.
He mentioned the country's ambitions for digitalization and the development of the cryptocurrency industry, noting that the mining industry is growing and Binance is ready to support such projects.
"So far, there are no concrete examples to support the development of blockchain technology in Kyrgyzstan. But we have an excellent case, which we have implemented in the neighboring country, Kazakhstan. Binance, in cooperation with the National Bank of Kazakhstan and the National Payment Corporation of Kazakhstan, announced last November the issuance of a test stablecoin backed by digital tenge. The world's first issue of stablecoin backed by the national digital currency was realized in the test network BNB Smart Chain (BSC)," the head of the cryptocurrency exchange added.
Khomiakov also stated that Binance has extensive experience in implementing blockchain technologies at the state level and is ready to help local companies with their projects.
To note, Binance is the largest cryptocurrency exchange in terms of trading volume, serving more than 190 million registered users in over 180 countries.
