ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, May 10. Turkmenistan has sold a large amount of base oil to entrepreneurs from the UAE and Afghanistan through its State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange, Trend reports.

According to the exchange, Turkmenistan sold the base oil of the SN-600 brand produced by the enterprises of the Turkmennebit State Concern to entrepreneurs from the UAE for a total of about $7 million.

At the same time, representatives of the Afghan business community also purchased SN-350 base oil from Turkmenistan, for a total value of over $6.28 million.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan is endeavoring to enhance its oil refining sector, with a focus on modernizing its plants and integrating state-of-the-art technologies to enhance the effectiveness of refining procedures and the caliber of final outputs.

Concurrently with the growth of the domestic market, Turkmenistan is actively boosting exports of petroleum products, forging long-term agreements with international collaborators, thereby broadening its export reach. This strategy not only amplifies the nation's economic capacity but also fortifies its stance in the global energy arena.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation for export-import operations.
