BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 9. Turkmenistan annually imports large amounts of mechanical and electrical equipment from Germany, a source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
According to the data received, Turkmenistan's imports of mechanical and electrical equipment from Germany last year amounted to 58.8 million euros, which is almost 25 percent less than in 2018, when it amounted to 78 million euros.
In general, from the beginning of 2018 to the end of 2023, Turkmenistan imported mechanical and electrical equipment from Germany for a total amount of about 435.9 million euros.
Turkmenistan's largest volume of imports of mechanical and electrical equipment from Germany came in 2019, amounting to 89.7 million euros.
Meanwhile, in recent years, Turkmenistan and Germany have been significantly bolstering their trade relations, fostering the expansion of mutually advantageous trade turnover, which surpassed 1.1 billion euros from the onset of 2018 through the conclusion of 2023.
