Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva met with a number of influential political and public figures during the International Forum on Combating Human Trafficking in Egypt.
Pashayeva met with Belgian Princess Mathilde, former U.N. Secretary General Boutros Boutros Ghali, U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women's Issues Melanne Verveer, CNN journalist Jim Clancy, Egyptian Senator Ismail Serageldi and musician Justin Dillon.
During the meetings, Pashayeva provided the interlocutors with extensive information about Azerbaijan. Pashayeva also invited Clancy and Dillon to Baku.
The ancient Greek city of Luxor hosted the international forum, which was chaired by Egyptian First Lady Suzanne Mubarak and U.N. officials. The forum, timed to the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the Palermo Convention, was attended by several prominent political and public figures and well-known art figures. The main goal of the forum was to support the fight against transnational crime, violence and human trafficking.
