Azerbaijan, Baku, 8 February / corr. Trend S. Babayeva/ About 179,100 people, out of 184,700 able bodied citizens, of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) of Azerbaijan have been provided with the jobs, the permanent representation of NAR to Baku said on 8 February.
"About 2,010 people have been provided with jobs by the employment services of the Autonomy, during the course of the year," the source said.
The average unemployment benefit in NAR totaled to AZN15.5, which makes up 33.5% of the monthly salaries of the able bodied citizens.
From October 2003 to January 2008, near about 30,600 new jobs have been created in NAR. A total of 19.2%, out of them, are the permanent jobs. 5,827 jobs have been created in 2007. The state sector accounts for 32% and the private sector for more than 68%.
