Azerbaijani metallurgical giant Baku Steel Company (BSC) will resume production in the second half of February. The BSC suspended production due to insufficient demand in early January.
"The company held an extended meeting today. We will resume production next week," the BSC said.
The BSC suspended production several times due to lack of metallurgical materials in 2008.
An average of 200-800 tons of raw materials are delivered to the company daily even though production has been suspended. A minimum of 1,500 tons of raw materials are needed to meet the company's capacity.
The BSC's current production power is 350,000 tons annually.
