The Azerbaijani Franchise Association (AFA) signed a partnership agreement with the Greek Franchise Association (GFA) on Feb. 17 as part of the Greece-Azerbaijan Business Forum, the AFA said.
The agreement was signed by AFA Chairman Elshan Musayev and GFA General Director Sotiris Yanakakis.
The agreement promotes sharing franchising experience, developing franchising and contributing to using foreign franchise systems on local markets.
The AFA was established on February 2007.
The AFA's goal is to create local brands and develop small- and medium-sized franchises.
The AFA is currently bringing new brands to Azerbaijan from abroad.
On Sept. 13, 2007, the AFA signed a partnership agreement with the Baltic Franchise Association.
On Nov. 7, 2007, the AFA signed a partnership agreement with the Turkish Franchise Association.
The AFA also cooperates with the Russian, Ukrainian, and German franchise associations.
On Feb. 18, the official exchange rate is 0.8063 manat to $1.
