Kazakh citizens spend an annual $200 million at foreign clinics, National Medical Holding Corporate Governance Deputy Chairman Zheksen Zhalkibaev told Trend .
"Kazakhs spend $200 million annually at foreign clinics in Israel, Europe and the U.S.," Zhalkibaev said.
A major challenge for the company is bringing these cash flows back home.
"Our annual budget is $200 million. This is the sum the government invests in large projects such as our company. It is important for these funds to remain in Kazakhstan," Zhalkibaev said.
One way to achieve this objective is to attract highly qualified medical professionals to the country - both Kazakhs and foreigners, he added
"Professional physicians were invited to work for the company from all our regions. But their number has not yet reached 100 people," Zhalkibaev said.
The management intends to invite some 20 foreign experts to work at the company in the near future.
"We intend to purchase advanced technology," Zhalikbaev added.
THe company offers medical services to companies and private individuals.
The National Medical Holding was established on May 13 upon the initiative of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
