As for April 30, 2009, Georgia's foreign debt and total amount of loans received under the state guarantee made up 4 628.96 million lari (one dollar equals 1.6550 lari), the Georgian Finance Ministry said on May 19.
Total debt of Georgia on the basis of bilateral agreements is 857.606 million lari.
[The total amount of Georgia's debt to Azerbaijan aroused in 1992-1994 as a result of business transactions between enterprises amounted to $16,189,573.]
Debt of Georgia on drawing funds under Eurobonds is 825.05 million lari.
Georgia owed 2,932,093 million lari on loans from international financial institutions. A total of 1,591,965 million lari was drawn from the International Development Association (part of the World Bank group), the European Union - 124.074 million lari, the International Monetary Fund - 1 025.373 million lari, the Asian Development Bank - 120.949 million lari.
The amount of debt on loans borrowed under state guarantee, as of April 30 made up 14.213 million lari. The debt to Germany is 6.078 million lari, EBRD - 8.135 million lari.
As of April 30, 2008, the size of Georgia's external debt is 3 349.113 million lari, and by the end of March 2009 - 4 697.281 million lari.
