On July 3, 2009, Lidiya Adamska, Member of the Board of Warsaw Stock Exchange visited BSE. She was received by Mr. Vahid Novruzov, Deputy Chairman of Baku Stock Exchange, the BSE reported.
During the meeting the parties discussed the ways to broaden the relationship and mutual support between two exchanges and outlined some further steps of cooperation.
Mrs. Adamska's visit to BSE was conducted within the framework of the official visit by the President of Poland, Mr. Lech Kachinsky to Azerbaijan.
It is worth to mention that the relations between the two exchanges dates back to 2007 when the memorandum of cooperation was signed.
Under the paper, the parties will cooperate in exchanging information and experience to develop and integrate with the two countries' stock markets. The Warsaw Stock Exchange assists the BSE in developing and applying first exchange indexes in Azerbaijan.
