Turkey's 2011-state budget will support the spheres of production, investment, trade and exports, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in his speech during the parliamentary debate on the country's budget for 2011, the Anadolu news agency reported.
"The needs of investors and industrialists, farmers and tradesmen, pensioners and students will be taken into account while preparing the budget," Erdogan said.
The Zaman newspaper reported that the budget expenditures are projected at 312.6 billion lira and revenues - at 279 billion lira, including tax revenues at 232.2 billion lira. In the structure of the budget revenues, non-interest income is projected at 265 billion lira and the remainder of non-interest income - 14 billion lira. The budget deficit is expected to reach 33.2 billion lira.
The Turkish Parliament began discussing the 2011-state budget on Monday. Discussions will last 13 days.
The official exchange rate is 1.5050 TL to $1 Dec. 14.
