The Turkish budget deficit decreased by 88.3 percent to 365 million Turkish lira year-on-year in November 2010, the Turkish finance ministry reported on Wednesday. In November 2009 the figure was 3.124 billion lira.
It said that budget expenditures amounted to 25.7 billion TL and budget incomes totaled 25.3 billion TL in November. Tax revenues increased over the year by 46.9 percent to $ 22.2 billion in TL.
In January- November 2010, budget expenses were 255.7 billion TL while budget incomes became 232.2 billion TL. The budget deficit was 23.4 billion TL in the same period.
The official exchange rate is 1.5009 TL to $1 Dec. 15.
