The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) is ready to continue further support to the Azerbaijani Government in the sphere of improving the system of inspection and licensing, the head of the national program of the Swiss Cooperation Office for the South Caucasus Naila Safarova said on Thursday.

"We provide support to improve the system of inspections and licensing through the project on the development of the business environment in Azerbaijan, implemented by the International Finance Corporation (IFC). We are also ready to further support the Government in this direction," Safarova said.

Implementation of the project on consultation to improve the investment environment began in August 2008, with financial support from IFC, SECO and BP. IFC through projects to improve the business climate in the CIS countries has helped to amend and adopt 11 major laws / regulations, which allowed small and medium-sized enterprises to save $ 93 million.
