The number of Azersu's subscribers has increased by 7,716 units or 0.7 percent in the first quarter, the company said on Thursday.
Some 1,093,680 subscribers and users of sewer services were registered in Azerbaijan for April 1. Some 97 percent of consumers accounts for the population.
The growing number of subscribers in March and April is associated primarily with increased surveillance measures and with the legalization of illegal connections, as well as registration of new subscribers.
Some 11,548 subscribers were provided with counters in the first quarter of 2012. The number of subscribers reached 523,919. Thus, 48.5 percent of subscribers are provided with counters.
