Uzbekistan Airways has signed a contract with Boeing to buy four 787-800 Dreamliner aircraft, the Uzbek national airline said Jan. 10.
The aircraft will be delivered in 2019-2020. The cost of the contract is not disclosed.
The agreement on the purchase of new Boeing Dreamliner aircraft was reached during the visit of Raymond Conner, Boeing vice chairman, to Uzbekistan in September last year.
Currently, Uzbekistan Airways operates two 787-800 Dreamliner aircraft it received in 2016.
Uzbekistan Airways’ fleet consists of 31 aircraft of western production. It conducts flights to over 20 cities in Europe, Americas, Middle East, Asia, 22 cities in the Commonwealth of Independent States and 11 domestic destinations.
