According to the report of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), 475 exhibitions were held in Turkey in 2017, compared to 426 in 2016.
“In 2017, 21.72 billion people participated in exhibitions held in Turkey, including 587,000 foreign citizens,” the report said.
According to it, Istanbul hosted 197 exhibitions and holds the first place, while Ankara hosted 50, Izmir – 30 exhibitions. Remaining 198 exhibitions were held in other cities of Turkey, the report added.
In 2018, 474 exhibitions, including 123 international exhibitions, will be organized in Turkey, TOBB told Trend earlier.
Most of the exhibitions will be held in April 2018.
“Eighty exhibitions will be held in Turkey in April, 75 exhibitions – in March, 56 exhibitions – in September, and 68 exhibitions – in October 2018,” TOBB said.
According to TOBB, 218 exhibitions will be held in Istanbul, 42 exhibitions – in Izmir, and 34 exhibitions – in Ankara in 2018.
Meanwhile, 33 exhibitions are planned to be held in Bursa, 27 exhibitions – in Antalya, 16 exhibitions – in Konya Province, 16 exhibitions – in Adana Province, and 9 exhibitions – in Gaziantep Province.
“The remaining 83 exhibitions will be held in other provinces of the country,” added TOBB.
