As many as 9,631 companies were registered in Turkey in January 2018, which is 53.54 percent more than in the same period of 2017, said a report of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).
Total capital of companies registered in Turkey in January 2018 is 1.8 billion liras, the report said.
The number of closed companies stood at 2,417 in Turkey in January, 14.62 percent more than in the same period of 2017, according to TOBB.
In 2017, 58,422 companies with foreign capital were registered in Turkey, according to the Turkish Economy Ministry.
The number of companies registered in Turkey with Azerbaijani capital was 136 in 2017, the ministry said.
In 2017, the number of registered German companies was 428, Syrian - 256, Iranian - 231 and Russian - 146.
