Investments in Baku’s fixed capital reduced

Some 503.3 million manats were allocated from all financial sources for the development of the socio-economic sphere of Baku in January 2019, which is 25.5 percent less than in the same period last year, Trend reports referring to a report by the Baku City Statistical Department.

"Public investments made up 37.3 percent of the total, while non-public investments made up 62.7 percent," according to the report.

Moreover, 56.5 percent of the funds allocated for fixed assets were used for construction work.

In January 2019, construction, reconstruction and expansion work made up 62.3 percent of the work carried out, with overhaul making up 8.3 percent, current repair work making up 5.9 percent, and other construction work making up 23.5 percent.

"Some 82.9 percent of the total construction work was carried out by non-state construction companies," said the report.
