Iran discloses volume of investments made in Mazandaran province

The investments worth two trillion rials (approximately $47.6 million) were made in the industrial sector of Iran’s northern Mazandaran province through the private sector during six months of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019), Deputy Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Mazandaran province Jahangir Bailashki, said.

Some 4,000 people were employed in the mining, industrial and trade sectors of the province, Bailashki added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

According to the plan, the investments made in the province by the private sector are expected to reach 10 trillion rials (about $238 million) this Iranian year.

The consultations about the foreign investments worth $15 million to be made in the industrial and mining sectors during the period of the US sanctions imposed against Iran are being held, Bailashki said.

There are more than 3,000 industrial and manufacturing enterprises in the province and about 80,000 people work in these enterprises.

The US imposed the sanctions on Iran in November 2018 and then expanded the list of sanctions in several stages.
