Iranian government continues measures to confront COVID-19

TEHRAN, Iran, Oct.27

Trend:

The cycle of coronavirus spread should be broken while patients should follow the quarantine instruction, said an Iranian government spokesman.

"Certain decisions were made for lockdowns and controlling centers to break the cycle and if necessary extend the limitations and expand them in various categories," said Ali Rabie, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"The recent studies of the Ministry of Health indicate that medicines did not have a relative effect on Coronavirus and the only way is to prevent. There is a need for minimum planning for the next Iranian year(started March 21, 2021). The studies show old age, diabetes, blood pressure, overweight and heart diseases increase mortality rate in Iran," he added.

According to him, the government would continue its action to produce masks and medical equipment. The mask production has reached 21 million per day. Additionally, The Plan and Budget Organization would provide a cohesive plan to support people's needs and reduce pressures.

"A practical plan would be offered in form of next Iranian year (started March 21, 2021) budget plan by the Plan and Budget Organization to compensate for the difficulties caused by sanction situation and increase of commodity prices. The government would use any chance to improve people's livelihood, however, any plan should be calculated" he noted.
