Azerbaijani metallurgical enterprises produced raw materials worth 188 million manat ($110.6 million) in the first 4 months of 2021, Trend reports referring to the report of the Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee.
During the mentioned period, 87,300 tons of steel were produced in Azerbaijan, which is decline of 7.4 percent in annual terms. Meanwhile, the country produced 82,600 tons of fittings, up by 4.6 percent year on year.
In accordance with the report, from January through April 2021, 11,100 tons of steel pipes were produced (rise of 52.1 percent). Up to 6,300 tons of primary alloys were obtained from unprocessed aluminum, decrease of 41.7 percent.
Prefabricated building structures made of ferrous metals worth over 5.4 million manat ($3.1 million, decrease of 26.3 percent on annual basis) were produced.
Besides, 8,780 tons of other structures made of ferrous metals were produced (decrease of by 7.1 percent).
The volume of raw materials produced in the Azerbaijani metallurgical industry amounted to 707 million manat ($415.8 million) in 2020, rising by 11.9 percent compared to the previous year.
The manufacture of finished metal products increased by 7.3 percent.
