Volume of provided services grows in Uzbekistan

The volume of services provided in Uzbekistan from January through August 2021 reached almost $3.8 billion, Trend reports citing the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan

Compared to the corresponding period of the last year, the growth amounted to 20.3 percent.

The highest volume of services was provided in August ($2.2 billion), and the lowest volume was observed in February - $1.7 billion.

Trade services occupy more than a quarter of the market - 25.3 percent. Transport holds 24.1 percent and finances 21.9 percent of the services market share. Communication and information occupy 6 percent of the segment.

From January through August, high growth in the indicator was recorded in education services (+47.8 percent), healthcare (+33.4 percent), and rental (+31.9 percent).

The State Statistics Committee explained such increase by the restoration of the activities of enterprises and organizations, as well as the weakening of restrictions introduced to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
