A new variety of ground tomato "Aynur", bred by crossing the varieties "Vostok 36x" and "Balkan", was obtained on the basis of the Scientific and Production Center of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute, Trend reports via Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.

The new cultivar has a round and smooth appearance and is fairly resistant to disease and aridity. The tomatoes can weigh up to 110 grams. The new variety can produce up to six identically sized fruits in a cluster. The fresh sugar content is 4.6 percent. The juice contains 6.8 percent dry matter, 3.5 percent sugar, 0.5 percent acids, and 21.4 milligrams of vitamin C.

It takes 116 days from the start of mass ripening of seedlings to the ripening of the first fruits. The fruit-bearing section of the plant grows to a height of 45 centimeters and a width of 40 centimeters.

The cultivar is ideal for canning and tomato paste manufacture. The variety was tested in the field from 2016 to 2018, and later the sample was delivered to the state for analysis. At the moment, the variety is available for industrial use.
