TEHRAN, Iran, May 9. Iran is seeking to increase trade ties with Indonesia, said the Deputy Foreign Minister Mehdi Safari, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Chabahar port is a secure transit route for Indonesian export commodities to Central Asia and Caucus," he said in a meeting with House Vice Speaker of Indonesia Rachmat Gobel.
The Iranian official has stressed increasing trade volume between Iran and Indonesia via Chabahar Port and trade based on national currencies and barter to expand ties.
He pointed out the possible capacities to promote ties in nanotechnology, transit, railway network, energy, and mineral resources.
