Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Khalilova / According to the proposal of the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA), once the law on State Debts comes into force, the authority is to make the account of credits not guaranteed by the State to be granted to the State Statistics Committee. Previously it was intended to grant this authority to the NBA.
"The State Statistics Committee will collect data on credits and present it to the NBA. In addition, making the account of the credits not guaranteed by the State is one of the conditions to join special standards of the International Monetary Fund on dissemination of statistic data," stated the Head of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, Arif Veliyev.
Presently the account of credits not guaranteed by the State is not made in Azerbaijan, but to work out the payment balance, the NBA possesses information both on guaranteed and unguaranteed credits. The IMF had recommended the NBA to make the account of credits not guaranteed by the State. After this, the Government decided to add a conception on non-State debts to the law draft on State Debts.
To join the IMF special standards, Azerbaijan should fulfill all its requirements, and maximally all its methodical data. Its indicators must meet with the Fund's requirements. Approximately three years ago, Azerbaijan joined the IMF Data Distribution General Standards.
