Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S. Aliyev / The international energy conference which will take place on 10-11 October in Vilnius ( Lithuania) will be attended by the Presidents of Azerbaijan, the Ukraine, Poland, Georgia, and Lithuania, said the Ambassador of Lithuania to Azerbaijan, Kestutis Kudzmamas, on 5 October.
During the conference, the Presidents will sign three agreements on energy cooperation and the establishment of a company for developing the Odessa-Borda-Plotsk pipeline. An energy cooperation document will be signed between Lithuania and Poland during the conference.
During 'Conference on 2007 Energy Security: supply, demand and diversity', a reports will be delivered by the following:
- Matthew Bryza the US Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs - 'Energy Security of Eurasia: geopolitics and diversification of gas sources';
- Jan-Arnold Vinua, Head of Energy Policy and Supply Security Department of the General Directorate of the European Commission for Energy and Transport - 'Increasing Energy Security of Europe: future actions';
- Victor Elbling, Deputy Head of the Group on Special Energy Tasks and also Head of the Department of International Economic Policy of the Foreign Minister of Germany - 'EU Energy Cooperation with Neighboring Regions';
- Bruce Jackson, Chairman of the Project on Democracy of Transition Periods, Member of the US Foreign Council - 'Relations between Energy Security and Democracy Development and its Expansion towards Eastern Europe'; and others.
