Azerbaijan, Baku, 9 September / Trend corr. E.Ismayilov / "SOCAR Energy Georgia plans to increase number of filling stations in Georgia to 35 by the end of 2009," Mahir Mammadov, the general director of the company said on 9 September.
At present the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has 15 filling stations in the territory of Georgia.
By the end of 2009, SOCAR Energy Georgia intends to increase fuel to150,000 liters a day at the Georgian market as compared to the current 100,000 l. It is planned to raise the sale through increasing number of filling stations.
Co-founders of SOCAR Georgia include the SOCAR with the stake of 51%, Petro-Trans FZCO with 32.7% and Ivan Chkhartishvili with 16.3%.
