Turkmenistan auctions about 140,000 tons of oil products

Turkmenistan auctioned about 140,000 tons of oil products from the Turkmenbashi refinery, and refineries in the Saydi and Nayip gas-processing complex today at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.

The country put as stock trades about 15,000 tons of liquefied gas, 30,000 tons of fuel oil, 4,000 tons of basic oil, 30,000 tons of gasoline, 27,000 straight-run gasoline and 60,000 tons of diesel fuel.

Last week at the auction of the national stock exchanges recorded over 20 transactions.

Businessmen from USA, UAE, Iran, Afghanistan, Panama and the Virgin Islands bought diesel fuel, jet fuel, basic oil and straight-run gasoline.

The companies from Azerbaijan, Russia, UAE, Kazakhstan, Denmark, Iraq, the United States and Switzerland are the main customers. The total amount of contracts, including the production of other economic sectors has exceeded $67 million.

The Commodity Exchange is a principal organ of state regulation of export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
