Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev promised to send his son-in-law Timur Kulibayev resigned as head of state fund "Samruk-Kazina", managing oil and gas companies.

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev promised to send his son-in-law Timur Kulibayev resigned as head of state fund "Samruk-Kazina", managing oil and gas companies.

"I decided on the resignation of Timur Kulibayev," - said Nursultan Nazarbayev, the fragments of speech of which were shown on the Kazakh state television "Khabar".

The fund was created to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of the Kazakh economy and forestall possible negative influence of changes in world markets on economic growth in the country. The main objective of the Fund is the management of shares (stakes) of the national development institutions, national companies and other entities to maximize their long-term value and competitiveness in world markets.
