Gas transit through Kazakhstan amounted to 12.079 billion cubic meters in January-February, 2012 compared to 11.421 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2011, the Central Dispatching Department of the Kazakh Statistics Agency told Trend.
In February, 2012 gas transit through the country was carried out to the amount of 5.516 billion cubic meters compared to 6.563 billion in January and 5.74 billion cubic meters in February, 2011.
Some 1.773 billion cubic meters of the total volume of gas transit through Kazakhstan in January-February, 2012 accounted for Central Asian gas compared to 2.126 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2011.
In February, 2012 the Central Asian gas was transported through the country to the amount of 0.843 billion cubic meters compared to 0.986 billion in February, 2011.
