Some 1,640,933 meters were drilled in Kazakhstan in January-September, 2012 compared to 1,482,212 meters during the same month of 2011, the Central Dispatching Department of the Kazakh Statistics Agency told Trend.
The total volume of drilling operations was fulfilled by 107.5 percent in September, 2012. Some 204,507 meters were drilled in Kazakhstan in September. It was planned to drill 190,209 meters.
The volume of exploratory drilling was fulfilled by 103.1 percent in September, 2012. Some 45,717 meters were drilled. It was planned to drill 44,360 meters.
