In 2012, Azerbaijan imported about 89,650 cars, or 38.1 per cent more than in 2011, Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Trend today.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the total cost of cars imported into the country in 2012 amounted to $760 million which is 17.6 per cent more than in 2011.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 9432 units of trucks, or 52.7 per cent more than in 2011. The total cost of imported trucks is over $213.4 million, or 45.6 per cent more than in 2011.
Also during this period, the country imported 1,038 units of buses, or 58.5 per cent more than in 2011. The total cost of imported buses amounted to $49.88 million, or 88.1 per cent more than in 2011.
