Discussion of potential cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Kingdom in the oil and gas sphere will be held in London on Feb.20-22, 2013, an official Turkmen source said.

The Turkmen delegation is headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymurad Khodjamukhammedov.

At present, British companies such as Petrofac, Dragon Oil, Burren Energy, Gaffney, Cline & Associates, De La Rue and others operate at the Turkmen market.

London considers Turkmenistan, which has significant gas reserves, a key player in international energy markets.

In turn, leaders in the Central Asian country, referring to a prospective Turkmen natural gas supply to European markets, including the UK, said that it fully meets the plans of Turkmenistan to diversify its energy exports to world markets.

Ashgabat hosted a number of business forums, which were attended by representatives of such companies from the UK, as Aero Assets Ltd, A.J.W Aviation, BG Group, BP Exploration Operating Company Limited, Bridgehouse Capital, BSP International Foundations Ltd, Cape Industrial Services Europe Limited, Construction Equipment Association, De La Rue, Eagle Scientific Limited, Eurasia Group, Gomaco International Ltd, HSBC Bank PLC, Over Arup and Partners, Petrofac, Shell International Ltd and others.
