As of May 1, 2018, revenues of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) for the entire period of its activity amounted to $141.5 billion, the Fund told Trend May 18.
SOFAZ gets revenues both from the oil and gas sales and its investment activity.
"As of early May 1, 2018, the Fund’s revenues from asset management for the whole period of its activity amounted to $5.4 billion," said the source. "This is while revenues from the sale of profit oil and gas for the same period amounted to $136.1 billion."
Total expenditures of SOFAZ amount to $103.7 billion.
As of April 1, 2018, the assets of SOFAZ increased by 5.1 percent compared to the beginning of 2018 and amounted to $37.6 billion.
The State Oil Fund was established in 1999, and at that time its assets amounted to $271 million.
