The US Epsilon Development Company has announced that after hydraulic fracturing on Dec. 29, the flow rate of three wells at the Doya Khatun field in the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan increased from 138,000 to 272,000 cubic meters of gas per day, Trend reports citing the company's statement.
The hydraulic fracturing was carried out jointly with Uzbekistan’s Uzbekneftegaz JSC oil and gas company.
The production rate of the Doya Khatun-74 well increased from 55,000 cubic meters to 100,000 cubic meters of gas per day.
The production rate of the Doya Khatun-35 well increased from 83,000 cubic meters to 130,000 cubic meters of gas per day.
The production rate of the inactive Dengizkul-43 well is 42,000 cubic meters of gas per day.
The main activities of Epsilon are prospecting, exploration, production and transportation of hydrocarbons and flare gas and oil; construction of industrial facilities; construction of transport communications.
One of the missions of the company in Uzbekistan is to develop and progress new and sustainable energy projects, which will serve as a catalyst for socio-economic development at both regional and national levels.
For the implementation of projects in Uzbekistan, a consortium of investors has been established with the Thyssen Krupp (Germany), Epsilon Development Company, and Epsilon Asia Limited (Hong Kong).
In the framework of joint activities, Epsilon has already commenced large-scale exploration at Kultak-Kamashi, Mubarak, Surkhan, Ashibulak, Koskudyk and West Fergana investment blocks.
