Petrol production significantly up in Kazakhstan

Volume of oil extraction in Kazakhstan amounted to 23.6 million tons during first three months of 2020, which is 2.4 percent more than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Industrial manufacturing in the country increased by 5.8 percent compared to the same period of 2019.

Thus, manufacturing of copper ore amounted to 28.4 million tons, which is 3.1 percent more compared to the reporting months of 2019. Manufacturing of petrol amounted to 1.2 million tons (increase by 28.1 percent).

Manufacturing of Portland cement was 1.8 million tons, which is 23.3 percent more than in the same period of 2019. Manufacturing of flat metal was 0.5 million tons (increase by 34.7 percent), of gasoil to 1.1 million tons (increase by 3.1 percent), of electricity to 29.4 billion kWh (increase by 4.3 percent).

“Production of crude oil, natural gas and metal ores increased in 1Q2020 compared to 1Q2019. Manufacturing volume of food items, tobacco products, petroleum products, medicine, goods of metallurgy and mechanical engineering also increased. At the same time manufacturing of chemical industry goods dropped slightly,” the report said.
